Our Objectives...

People from different countries live together in Hong Kong, such as Westerners, Japanese, Southeast Asians etc. Some of them are called minorities while some of them are not. Though we may encounter "minority" people everyday, we seldom have the opportunities to get to know more about them.   Especially the Indonesian workers who are very visible.

Indonesian workers in Hong Kong are mostly trilingual users. Therefore, we are interested to understand more about the use and attitude towards their languages, whether they appreciate their own language, and things reflected through their use of languages.
